Beauty Haul ♡ ft. Sonia Kashuk, Sephora, Too Faced

I have recently switched to a new mail forwarding company, after getting so frustrated with the shipping time Youshop takes to deliver and the ridiculous pricing even after a consolidate package; I had enough of it! So I tried out a company that everyone has recommended, I tried Shipitto for the first time and now I can't stop raving about their service hehe.

Below are a few packages that I have purchased myself, and/or using Shipitto's Assisted Purchase, all these packages came from different places like MAC, Sephora, Target and Too Faced. They all arrived at different times and I have consolidated into one package.

Sonia Kashuk Art of Makeup Brush Set

Since I have never shop from Target before and I wasn't sure if they accept international payments etc... I didn't want to risk going through the hassle of them cancelling my order. So I used Shipitto's Assisted Purchase and bought this set of 10 Limited Edition Sonia Kashuk brushes and also another Limited Edition compact brush.

Sonia Kashuk Art of Makeup Brush Set

The Sonia Kashuk Limited Edition Art of Makeup 10 piece brush set includes:
1 x large powder brush, 1 x domed blusher brush, 1 x synthetic buffing brush, 1 pointed foundation brush, 1 concealer brush, 1 eye shadow brush, 1 blending brush, 1 crease brush, 1 smudge brush & 1 synthetic angled liner brush.

I love the pink bristles and the gold and colourful handles. I remember being so envious of girls showing off their Sonia Kashuk haul in Makeup Obsessvies; Arghhh I wanted a set so badly, and now, finally a proud owner of one!

Sonia Kashuk Completely Compact Travel Brush

The Sonia Kashuk Limited Edition Completely Compact Travel Brush is another item I have purchased using the assisted purchase. This brush includes a mirror and a powder brush that flips open. It is a multi-use makeup brush that can be use to apply powder, blush, highlighter and bronzer. I absolutely adore the turquoise bristle, and plus the brush is so soft, it is amazeball!

Sephora Collection Retractable Kabuki Brush

Now it comes to a part where I begin my Shipitto obsession...

I have placed an order for two Sephora Collection Retractable Kabuki Brush as they were on sale for ten dollars each. When my Sephora order arrived, there were only one brush in the package and usually I wouldn't bother contacting Sephora about my missing brush because if I was still using Youshop, the shipping cost for an extra package would cost more than the brush itself. But since so many people had recommended Shipitto and raved about their shipping cost and service, I decided to just contact Sephora anyway.

So I did contact Sephora and they sent me another kabuki brush which as expected, it arrived in another medium size package. If I was using Youshop, it would cost me at least $26 for another package, and to my surprise, after I consolidate all my shopping into one package, the shipping cost was 80% cheaper than what Youshop usually charge me... Not even exaggerating here!

Too Faced La Creme Cinnamon Kiss

While waiting for my missing Sephora Kabuki Brush to arrive, I couldn't help it and purchase the Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Cinnamon Kiss.

I have previously tried the La Creme Lip Cream range and I admit I wasn't a fan, I have tried the shade Marshmallow Bunny which I though it looks like a gorgeous nude-ish pink in the tube; but once applied on the lips it is streaky and I just wasn't feeling it.

When I saw Cinnamon Kiss, I wanted to give it another try, maybe a darker shade will have a better performance and since it has a pretty good review online, there must something special about it. Plus Cinnamon Kiss along with three other gorgeous shades are on sale! I love sales, hehe.

Too Faced Lip Injection

A mini sample size of the Too Faced Lip Injection came as a promotional gift and I am so glad to be able to finally try this product without having to spend a fortune and later regretting it if it doesn't work.

MAC Morange Lipstick

Last but not least, I bought MAC Morange from the Wash and Dry Collection.

I was a bit late on catching up with the latest MAC collections, by the time I decide on Morange, it is all sold out online; thankfully, Nordstrom had some for sale, and I was able to grab Morange before it is all sold out again!

Overall, always happy with my purchases and extremely happy this time that I was able to save big bucks on shipping cost.

I like that Shipitto allows me to pay using Paypal, and I can deposit an amount of money into my account for future use instead of having to enter my bank details every time I want to shop. I love that they consolidate my packages and repackage in a reasonable size box instead of a huge box to charge me more fees. Their packaging is really good too, nothing came damaged.

I have consolidated four packages together and shipping cost is only around $50, of course there were other shipping methods to choose from and I went to DHL express which is the most expensive, but my package arrived within 4 days! 4 DAYS! HELLO, THAT IS FREAKING AMAZEBALL!

Have you tried Shipitto?

MAC Sheen Supreme Playtime Lipstick ♥ Review + Swatches

I was in a rush one morning, my eyes were fuzzy looking at my lipstick collection trying to choose a lip color suitable for my outfit of that day, my brain was blank as there were too many to choose and I was already late to work; lol too many things going on all at once, I couldn't handle it!

I end up choosing the MAC Sheen Supreme Playtime Lipstick, while driving to work, I dab a little on my lip for a soft tinted look, knowing it is a highly pigmented and intense lip color, I went very light handed to avoid messing up. Argh I know, multi-tasking while driving is no good, but I was desperate okay!

Ever since my failed, rush hour morning that day, I have been wearing Playtime more often than I used to. This lipstick could be a day-to-night lip color, since it is a very pigmented lipstick, you have a choice of dabbing a little for a tinted pink day look, or you can swipe it as normal for that intense date night look.

MAC Sheen Supreme Playtime Lipstick

MAC Sheen Supreme Playtime Lipstick is one of the six lipstick that was released in the MAC So Supreme Collection in 2013, it is a Limited Edition color that is described as a "bright coral pink". I sometimes wondered how MAC came up with such non-related descriptions?! Playtime is obviously a bright Barbie pink, it looks nothing close to coral, not in the tube, nor on the lips.

MAC Playtime Lipstick is a bright, girly, medium pink with a cool undertone, it has an extreme opaque coverage, the color is so bright and intense and it has a bit of soft pearl in it. It is so pigmented, even at first swipe, the color payoff is excellent!

I have previously reviewed Sweet Grenadine, another Limited Edition lipstick from the MAC So Supreme Collection, comparing the comfort of wear between the two, Playtime feels a lot more drying, it isn't as comfortable as Sweet Grenadine. Both sheen supreme lipsticks offers a glossy finish and a lightweight wear, Playtime is neither hydrating nor moisturizing, it feels drying from time to time and I had to add a bit of lip gloss to make that dry feeling go away.

The texture of MAC Playtime Lipstick is creamy and it applies on the lips smoothly. Its smooth and creamy texture doesn't make the lip color smear, it doesn't move around, no bleeding or anything, apart from the time when you have to eat and drink, the lip color does transfer to your food.

MAC Playtime worn quite well on me, it really depends on if I wear it as a soft tinted color or an intense one. Playtime worn well for three hours as a soft tint and it lasted for more than six hours if wearing as a full opaque coverage.

MAC Sheen Supreme Playtime Lipstick

What do you all think of MAC's Sheen Supreme Lipstick formulas? I love, love, love how smooth and soft their texture is and I adore their intense color choice. Totally looking forward to trying more shades, what about you beauties?

As mentioned above, MAC Sheen Supreme Playtime Lipstick is a Limited Edition lipstick from the MAC So Supreme 2013 Collection, it is no longer available to purchase from MAC or any other website, and it could be hard to find as it was released so long ago.

MAC Playtime is available to purchase from eBay seller: makeupemporium1, she is one of my most trusted MAC seller on eBay, I trust her, and you should too :) Just give her a chance, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Skinfood Mud Masque ♨ Review + Demo

Lucky promoting the Skinfood Mud Masque!
Skinfood Mud Masque

I have finally jumped on the bandwagon and try out the Skinfood Mud Masque that everyone has been talking about! I started using this mud masque in early January and I want to make sure that I have try it and experience it enough times to give a proper review.

I don't know about you, but when it comes to face masks, I have to use each of them several times to see a difference it makes. The first time I tried out the Skinfood Mud Masque, it didn't do anything and I didn't feel it tingles and/or stints my eyes like everyone claims it does; and after several use of the products, I start to experience the things people claims they had experienced and also I started to see results on my face.

Anyway, before I talk about the product description, what it does and how it works; I want to introduce you to the brand first. Skinfood is a New Zealand skin care brand that offers a range of products from face and body care to lips and hands care, their products are all made with natural ingredients and they claim to have create a range of nutritious products for your skin that will have you feeling nourished, cleansed and revitalized.

Please note: there is another brand called Skin Food, it is based in Korea and they also sell natural cosmetics and skin care products. I am also a fan of Skin Food Korea, but it is a totally different brand to the one I am reviewing today.

Skinfood Mud Masque

I know a few New Zealanders reads my blog, but a majority of you girls (and boys) are from all around the world; you may have heard Rotorua is famous for its natural, hot mud pools etc... but if you didn't study geography or tourism at school, you would probably be clueless.

So, here is a little tourism lesson from Wikipedia: Rotorua is a city on the North Island of New Zealand, it is a major destination for both international and domestic tourists (must visit if you ever come to NZ! It's such a beautiful place!). Rotorua is known for its natural spas, geothermal water, hot mud pools, erupting geysers and... Oh oh Māori Culture is also another fun thing to experience in the area.

Skinfood Mud Masque
Skinfood Mud Masque

Skinfood Mud Masque is rich in natural minerals found in the volcanic muds of NZ, it is made with natural rich Rotorua mud with aloe vera and jojoba oil. This mud masque work as a deep cleanser to soften and relax the skin, it is made in New Zealand and paraben free. Skinfood claims the effect of using the product is visible, such as smaller pores and softer skin just after one use.

How to use: After cleansing, apply a thick even layer all over the face. Leave for 5 - 10 minutes until dry and then wipe off with a warm, damp cloth. Use only once a week.

Skinfood Mud Masque

Skinfood Mud Masque comes packaged in a 100ml tube, the color of its packaging is pure white and it features their green logo. The description and the directions are printed in a bright green and grey color. From the packaging you can already tell this company really focus on their natural theme and the simple packaging gives me that refreshing feel.

The color of the mud masque is grey, the same grey as Rotorua muds and the texture is thick. I have always avoid facial masks that does not come in a sheet form, because a lot of them takes a long time to dry and I am just not patient enough to sit around and wait for the damn thing to set haha.

Ever since I jumped on the Skinfood Mud Masque bandwagon, I went from not liking non-sheet-masks to absolutely loving them! The Skinfood Mud Masque dries within 10 minutes and after washing off with a warm damp cloth it left my skin feeling very soft especially around my nose area, I have big visible pores on my nose and my cheek, after using this mud masque I have seen impressive results of smaller pores.

If I use the mud masque more than once a week, it does dry out my skin and crackiness does appears when I apply my foundation. I didn't know that this is suppose to be a once a week kind of thing as there weren't any information on the Skinfood website, I have now use it more gently, once a week and my skin has gone back to normal and it is looking better. I could go to work without makeup at all, not even primers and I would still feel as comfortable as I have makeup on.

Below is a picture of the before and after result I took after my first use, as you can see my skin in my after result seems to clear a little compare to my before picture, my skin doesn't look as dull and large pores on my nose seems a little smaller. It looks like the mud has done a great job, it draws out a lot of oils in my skin and I wish I could show you all how smooth my skin feels and how clean it looks in person!

Before the use of Skinfood Mud Masque
During the use of Skinfood Mud Masque
After the use of Skinfood Mud Masque

Overall, this is a great mud mask to try especially for those oily skin gals, the products does suck out all the oils from your skin and turn your face into a baby smooth face! Don't expect your pores to be fully closed or disappear, from my experience with the Skinfood Mud Masque, the product has done a good job minimizing my large pores and making my skin looks brighter.

I love the smell of this mud masque, can't exactly describe the scent; but it smells fresh and very acceptable. My first time using the product it didn't tingles my face nor made my eyes watery and after a couple of uses later, it starts to stints and made my eyes watery and it tingles a little. This may be different for everyone and it is normal if you're experiencing the watery eyes.

The Skinfood Mud Masque only comes in one size and that is the 100ml tube, I think they also offers foil packs samples, but you can't buy them, you can only try those samples ones when they gift it to you. Not a lot of product is needed for each use, I have been using this same tube for every single week and I have been using it for months now, I feel like there's still plenty of products left in the tube!

 Things I Love:
        ** brighter and smoother skin
** visible minimize pores after just one use
        ** natural ingredients
        ** acceptable fresh scent
        ** easy to use packaging
** very affordable and easy to purchase
        ** dries within 10 minutes
        ** made in New Zealand
 Things I Dislike:
** stints and watery eyes (it's normal)
** always sold out in supermarkets (too popular)

Availability within New Zealand:
Skinfood Mud Masque is available to purchase at any supermarkets and the warehouse nationwide, different stores have different pricing, some warehouse have them for only $8 while some supermarkets cost around $13. I purchased my mud masque via Skinfood's online website, it was $13.99 + a free head band (which you don't get if purchase in supermarkets etc). I was also gift a various of Skinfood foil pack samples to try ~ Such excellent service, my parcel took a little longer to arrive due to the Christmas season, they usually arrive the next day. Free shipping!

Availability outside of New Zealand:

Lucky for you non kiwis, Skinfood does ships worldwide! Not sure on the shipping cost though, you may have to contact them for more information.

WOW! This is a long review! Hopefully you beauties didn't get bored half way ^^ haha ~ Let me know in the comments below of your thoughts of the Skinfood Mud Masque if you have tried it already! If you haven't, I highly recommend this products to you, it is suitable for all skin types, whether you're a female or a male. It is such an affordable and money-well-spent product!
