MAC Collective Chic Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow Trio is one of the products included in the MAC All About Coral Look in a Box that released in 2014, it is a Limited Edition item.

Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow is described as powder-to-cream formula that will make your eyes pop. Collective Chic trio includes a rich gold, a sparkling brown and a blackish plum. These eyeshadows are super opaque and they have a soft texture that is easy to blend and each of the color is long-wearing with hardly any fall-outs. I used the sparkling brown at the outer corner to create a V shape, then used the rich gold all over the lid and blend; last step I did was line my tightline with the blackish plum then lightly smoked it out.

Colourpop Peacocky & Guerlain Maxi Shine Lipgloss #901
Colourpop Peacocky & Guerlain Maxi Shine Lipgloss #901

Colourpop Peacocky Sheer Lippie Stix is one of my recent favourite lip products, I love paring it with the Guerlain maxi shine lipgloss in #901 for that extra pouty look.

Colourpop Sheer Lippie Stix range is described as a sheer coverage lip color with a lightweight formula and Peacocky is described as a blue red. Sheer Lippie Stix has a balmy texture that goes on soft and smooth, due to Peacocky being a red shade, the color goes on more opaque than expected, it can also be build up to your desire intensity. I always blot my lips after Peacocky application for that sheer look as I didn't like the intense red. Peacocky wears comfortably, but it is not long wearing, wears for approximately two to three hours without eating, if I have food during wear, the colors fades instantly leaving the lip lines look.

MAC Irresistibly Charming Patentpolish Pink Set ♡ Review + Swatches

MAC Irresistibly Charming Patentpolish / Pink
MAC Irresistibly Charming Patentpolish / Pink

MAC released a bunch of travel sized makeup sets for Christmas 2015 and the collection has a cute name to match its products, it's called Irresistibly Charming. This is a long overdue post and I am sure that by the time I post this up on the blog, nothing from this collection will be available as sets; but don't panic ~ most of these items are available to purchase individually as a full sized item.

The Irresistibly Charming Collection comes with a lot of pretty sets ranging from makeup tools and accessories, lip products, eyes products and pigments. I am so glad to have picked up a brush set, a lipgloss set and a patentpolish set as not only are these mini sets the cutest things, they are also affordable with excellent qualities, it's like money well spent x 10!

Today I am reviewing the MAC Irresistibly Charming Patentpolish Pink set, which comes with four mini Patentpolish in shades of Pleasant, Fearless (my all time favourite), Patentpink and Kittenish.

MAC Irresistibly Charming Patentpolish / Pink

MAC Patentpolish is described as a twist-up pencil that has a texture of a balm, high shine of a gloss and a patent-leather finish. The Patenpolish range was introduced as a Limited Edition collection in 2014 and it was made permanent in 2015.

This is my first time trying the MAC Patentpolish range and I absolutely love this product. I am usually not a lip crayon person, neither twist up nor sharpened lip crayon, just not a fan; but I find that the Patenpolish is not just a crayon, these feels like a lip balm, it is moisturizing during wear, the wearing time depends on the color and it has a gorgeous shine throughout the whole wearing time. Patentpolish applies easily and smoothly, it is one of those products that I can apply without a mirror.

 MAC PLEASANT PATENTPOLISH

near full pigmentation, applies a little uneven
worn for approximately four hours
leaves a light stain afterwards
comfortable during wear
non drying, nor hydrating

my rating:

 MAC FEARLESS PATENTPOLISH
described as a deep blue pink, it shows as a medium-brightened pink when worn
full color pay-off, applies evenly even without looking at a mirror
worn for only two hours and if eat or drink during wear, it only wears for one hour
does not leave stains after wear and I don't mind the re-apply
moisturizing and comfortable during wear
my absolute favourite, it's the prettiest out of all four

 MAC KITTENISH PATENTPOLISH
described as a mauvey pink, looks like a light to medium rosy pink on me
near full pigmentation, settles into lines awhile after wear
worn for two to three hours
does not leave stains after wear
a little drying but still comfortable
glossy look doesn't last very long

 MAC PATENTPINK PATENTPOLISH

full pigmentation

my least favourite

my rating:

Overall, I am loving the MAC Patentpolish range and I planned on re-purchasing the full sized of Fearless as the travel sized ones it's nearly emptied. I love that most of the colors are comfortable to wear, some are a little drying, but most of them moisturizing. I love that the pigmentation of these and I love that they applies with a silky finish and the glossiness stays shinning throughout the whole wear.

Guerlain Rouge G L'Extrait Lip Color ♡ M65 Paresse Review + Swatches

Guerlain Rouge G L'Extrait Lip Color - M65 Paresse
Guerlain Rouge G L'Extrait Lip Color - M65 Paresse

Guerlain Rouge G L'Extrait Lip Color - M65 Paresse

Today I am reviewing the heaviest, most expensive and most loved lip product in my makeup collection; and it is the Guerlain Rouge G L'Extrait Lip Color in shade M65 Paresse.

Guerlain Rouge G L'Extrait Lip Color - M65 Paresse

Guerlain Rouge G L'Extrait Lip Color comes packaged in a compact case type of design, it comes with a flipped both sided mirror (that's probably why it's so heavy) and it is one of the most complicated liquid lipstick style I have ever come across. I remembered being so frustrated with the opening because I couldn't figure out a way to open it, even though it is stated clearly on the packaging that you would have to pull and twist. (sometimes I just can't be bothered reading instructions okay).

This product comes with a standard doe-foot applicator that is surprising easy to apply, (I like doe-foot applicators, but they are not always perfect). It allows me to get a precise line without getting messy and since the lip color is so pigmented, it is so easy to get a one swipe perfect application.

Guerlain Rouge G L'Extrait Lip Color - M65 Paresse

Guerlain Rouge G L'Extrait Lip Color is available in five shades (or six?!), majority of the shades available are red and darker shades that I can't imagine myself wearing on a daily basis; so I bought M65 Paresse; absolutely adore the color, it's a bright but wearable mid-tone pink.

Rouge G L'Extrait Lip Color is described as a perfect cross between a lipstick and a lipgloss, it has a liquid, creamy, consistent, ultra-pigmented and velvety formula that glides gently over the lip. The product claims to be silky when first applied then dries to a matte finish. Guerlain also claims that this lip product has a non-sticky, non-drying and non-feathering texture that leaves lips looking flawless for hours.

M65 Paresse is one of those lip products I carry with me every where, even on days that I am wearing a completely different lipstick, I carry it with me just in-case that I want to change my lip color etc... I find that it is very long wearing (approximately six to seven hours before the color fades), it feels very comfortable while wearing as it is moisturizing and doesn't dry out my lips. This lip color is almost as everything Guerlain claims to be, except that it is a tad sticky, but that doesn't affect the wear at all.

Upon application, M65 Paresse applies in a silky and velvety finish before it dries down to a semi-matte. It does transfer but the colors doesn't move around or disappear during and after each meals. I love that it doesn't feather even though most of the time I like it worn without lip liners.

Although Guerlain Rouge G L'Extrait Lip Color is one of the most expensive lip products in my makeup collection, it is one of my favourite and I don't regret the purchase at all. I bought mine from Saks Fifth Avenue and it was approximately NZD $55.00 that I paid for (not counting the shipping prices etc, I bought via YouShop).

Reviewing Guerlain as an all-over brand, it is one of the best beauty brands I have tried. Along with Charlotte Tilbury, these brands are underrated but in my opinion these works better on me than well-known brands like Chanel, YSL Beauty etc.. I have tried a majority of makeup products from Guerlain and non had failed to impress me. Their price tags could be so high-to-reach, but I feel like their products are so worth it. ♥
