Beauty Review is a New Zealand based online beauty website, it's a place for people like me and/or you (you must be interested in beauty that's why you're on my blog right?!) to read true beauty products reviews and connect with people who has the same interest as you in the forum.

I discovered this very helpful website early this year and I have been a member since February '14. I find all members on this website very friendly and non-judgemental. Overall it's a happy place, plus bonus of free beauty advice. ^^

Beauty Review has launched its first ever beauty box this December, there's only 250 boxes available and I remember the sale was intense! Refreshing my web browser for the first 10 minutes and it just kept saying "error" "error" "error" lol you could imagine my frustration?! I was finally able to get into the sale after 20 minutes and within 30 minutes since it launched, all the boxes were sold out! How crazy?!

The Beauty Review Beauty Box is a lot different compare to other beauty subscription boxes, they aim to bring you all the latest full size products that are currently available in stores in New Zealand, not old stocks that are expired and no longer available or products that we have never heard of. The BR Beauty Box is all about what's inside the box not the cardboard box itself, I have tried a few beauty subscription companies who's beauty boxes came wrap all fancy, but inside products were s*** lol.

I think the BR Beauty Box is only available to New Zealand resident and you are only eligible to purchase if you're a member of the BR community. This beauty box service isn't available every single month, at the moment it's only quarterly and BR says to keep our eyes open for special boxes such as the nail beauty box and the lip beauty box. Already super excited! *squeal*

The Beauty Review December Beauty Box arrived in a huge box, it's as big as if you combine four normal Memebox together, it's THAT BIG! I was overwhelmed when I opened the box, although I did check out the products included on the description card, I was still really impressed with my December beauty box. It's pretty jam packed and the products are all what BR claimed to be, 13 full size beauty products that are currently available to purchase in-store.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

All the products included in the Beauty Review December Beauty Box adds up to $169.19, no lie! The box cost $48.95 + $5 for postage. This beauty box is filled with mostly products that are daily essentials, for example, Nivea in-shower smooth lotion is a shower essential, Za Total Hydration foamy cleanser is a day and night essential and also, the Schwarzkopf extra care pack is also another shower essential.

My favourite items from this beauty box is definitely the Yes to Cucumber facial cleansing wipes, I also like the lipsticks colors that Beauty Review has chosen for my box. For the Moisture Mist lipstick, I received the shade Pippin Apple, which is a gorgeous dark red brown color. Usually I'd complain about the color hahah, can't imagine myself ever wearing this kind of lipstick shades, it's a bit like an old lady color, but lately I have been loving all dark lipstick shades so it's like perfect fit! Seen my swatches above? It's a beautiful browny red! & also I am super glad BR has thrown in the Za Pure Shine Lips lipstick in Pretty Pink, as you all know I am a pink obsessed; and also I was just deciding if I should get one from the Japanese store the other day... I didn't end up getting one cause it's kind of expensive, so it's like bonus!
