花千骨 ☾ The Journey of Flower Inspired Outfit & Makeup Look

花千骨 // The Journey of Flower Inspired Outfit & Makeup Look

I have recently finished watching the popular Chinese TV drama - The Journey of Flower (花千骨) and I am totally obsessed! I especially love the costume and makeup and I love it so much that I had to re-create one of the looks from the drama.

The outfit and makeup look I have re-created was Zixun Shang Xiang (紫薰上仙), in the drama she was sweet at first then turned evil; I love both of her looks but I much preferred the evil version and I have created an in-between sweet and evil look.

As you can see, I tried to act evil and look angry, but it does not work for me haha ~ I love the outcome of these pictures anyway, the costume I purchased from Taobao and it is so beautiful!

I have re-created the makeup look from this picture and I was very happy with the outcome. The overall look was much more prettier in person.

FACE PRODUCTS I HAVE USED in this The Journey of Flower inspired look was the YSL Fusion Ink Foundation in shade B20 Beige, it was my first time using this foundation since my purchase a few weeks ago and I love that it looked so natural. Then I used the YSL Touche Éclat in shade #2 Luminous Ivory to highlight my under eye area and around my nose and corner of my mouth. I then used the Light Cocoa shade from the Too Faced Cocoa Contour Palette to set my under eye area and used Medium Cocoa to contour my face. To finish up I used one of my favourite high-end blush the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in shade Luminous Flush and my all time favourite highlighter from Colourpop in shade Wisp.

EYES PRODUCTS I HAVE USED was the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Promade in shade Dark Brown, I tried the straight eyebrow look that majority of Asian are obsessed with right now; then I used the Benefit Stay Don't Stray Eye Primer to prime my eyelid, I absolutely love this eye primer and should remind myself to purchase a full size, it's THAT good! I used the Too Faced Sugar Pop Eyeshadow Palette for the first time, love, love the pigmentation! The colours I used was Rock Candy on the eyelid, Sugared Violet on the outer V then blend Bubblegum to the crease. I then draw a thin line of wing eyeliner using the Banila Co. Eye Love Gel Eyeliner in shade Natural Black, this is one of my most used gel eyeliner, the texture is creamy, the colour is pigmented and it doesn't make a mess. To finish up the eye look, I curled my super straight, down pointing eyelashes and used the Fairydrops Platium Mascara, then I used my newly purchased false lashes The Wild One from xoBeauty with DUO Eyelashes Adhesive, I am so glad to finally try an eyelash glue that doesn't sting my eyes.

LIP PRODUCTS I HAVE USED was pretty simple. I used my new favourite Too Faced Borderline Lip Pencil to line my lips then I used a lip brush with NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in shade Provocative Red to line my lips again then fill in with the same shade.
