YSL Volupte Sheer Candy Lipstick 09 Cool Guava

Last time I got my foundation shades matched at the YSL counter in the mall, I was recommended the Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick in 08 Pink in Confident. Although I did purchase that lipstick, I wanted something else that I can grab and go, something that I know I would definitely use, instead of adding to my collection and just forgets about it.

Looking at the YSL counter was so overwhelming, there were so many options and colors to choose from and I really couldn't decide, I end up buying the Volupte Sheer Candy in 09 Cool Guava, it's a glossy balm in a sheer baby pink shade.

Today I am sharing with you my review and swatches on YSL Volupte Sheer Candy Lipstick in 09 Cool Guava, I have been using this lipstick for a couple of months now and I love that it is a makeup product that I can just grab and go, I can also apply this lip color without a mirror knowing that I would not mess up.

YSL VOLUPTE SHEER CANDY is described as a glossy balm with crystal color. The lipstick features an ultra-light texture that claims to leave lips feeling soft and hydrated for up to 8 hours. It is a lip product that is ideal for year-round use and the sheer color is perfect for summer.

Volupte Sheer Candy comes packaged in a metal casing with an embossing of the YSL logo at the center of the tube and the color behind the logo is suppose to coordinate with the color of the lipstick. The overall packaging is simple, it has the luxury look and it feels heavy and sturdy to touch.

09 COOL GUAVA looks like a vibrant light pink in the tube, but it applies on the lips as a wash of baby pink. The lipstick has a strong sweet summery fruit / watermelon scent that smells delicious, also it has a balmy after-taste during wear.

Cool Guava delivers a glossy look upon application and the glossiness would disappear within 30 minutes of wearing time. It has a lightweight texture that glides on the lips smoothly and it wears for approximately two hours.

While I love the YSL Volupte Sheer Candy range and I adore the pretty sheer pink shade, I would avoid this lipstick on days that I didn't exfoliate and care for my lips. Although the lipstick does hydrates and feel moisturizing during wear, it clings to dry patches badly and it emphasize lip lines if applied on not-so-smooth-lips.
