3 Concept Eyes Love 3CE Collection ♡ First Impression

3 Concept Eyes Love 3CE Collection

Today I am sharing with you swatches and first impressions of the products I have purchased from the 3 Concept Eyes Love 3CE Collection. I bought these from The Cosmetics Store in Auckland and as soon as I saw these in store, I immediately fell in love because of how adorable the packaging is.

3 Concept Eyes has described this collection as an inspiration from the sunny childhood memories. The collection features a pastel theme and each compact is shaped like those flowery biscuits that I used to eat all the time in my childhood, which brings back a lot of great memories.

Love 3CE Duo Shadow #Sweets

LOVE 3CE DUO SHADOW #SWEETS is described as a dewy and translucent rosy pink paired with sensual feminine pink brown and it comes packaged in a flowery shaped plastic compact with a small mirror inside.

The longest I have worn this eyeshadow was twelve hours and I was very impressed with how well it stayed on without using a concealer or an eyeshadow primer as a base.

When I swatched these on hand with my fingers, the colours shows up as very pigmented and glittery, but when I applied these on my eyes with a makeup brush, the colours are very sheer and the glitters are not very obvious unless looked closely.

The above photo shows that I am wearing the brown shade of Love 3CE Duo Shadow #Sweets in the outer corner and the pink shade all over the lid. Unfortunately, my camera cannot pick up the glitters, but as you can see, both shades looks beautiful when worn together, it's quite suitable for those 'no makeup' makeup days as the overall eye look is soft and looks natural.

Love 3CE Cheek Maker #Orangish

LOVE 3CE CHEEK MAKER #ORANGISH is described as a juicy orange glimmer with a hint of soft gold pearls and it comes in the same packaging as the duo eyeshadow shown above.

When I saw this blush in store, I immediately fell in love because of the gold shimmers in the pan. It looks absolutely gorgeous and honestly, I wasn't expecting this blush to be very pigmented because it looks quite sheer to me. The texture is kind of creamy and when I swatched the colour on hand with my finger, it shows an opaque coral with loads of shimmers, but when I applied it to my cheek with a blush brush, the colour shows up as a hint of orange and it gives my overall complexion a natural flush look.

Unfortunately, this blush only worn for three hours on me.

Love 3CE Velvet Lipstick #Tailored

LOVE 3CE VELVET LIPSTICK #TAILORED is described as a matte lipstick with a velvety finish that wears comfortably with an intense colour payoff. The texture claims to be soft and lightweight that adhere weightlessly to the lips for a feathery and almost-not-there feel.

This lipstick is very pigmented, it can be worn as a full opaque coverage look, or it can be worn as a softly tinted lip look. The way I like to wear this lipstick is to lightly dabbed it onto my lips and smudged it out for that sheer, naturally tinted lip balms looks. The longest I have worn it this way was twelve hours, it does transfer and faded a little bit throughout the day, but when it faded, it faded evenly and by the time I removed my makeup, there were still some red tints on my lips.

Love 3CE Baby Glow Cushion

LOVE 3CE BABY GLOW CUSHION is available in two shades and the formula includes SPF50+ and PA++ that is perfect for summer. The texture claims to be ultra-creamy and moisturizing and the overall product claims to leave behind a baby soft skin that glows from within.

I knew that this cushion is not suitable for oily skin, but I wanted it anyway because the packaging is so cute. It comes packaged in a baby pink plastic casing that is shaped like a mermaid shell and it includes a big mirror inside.

I bought the lightest shade #001 which is described as a creamy ivory beige to illuminate light-toned skin. The shade is paler than my normal skin tone which is light to medium, the product applies uneven and it doesn't cover redness.

I have tested this cushion for a month and I dislike everything about this cushion apart from its' packaging. Usually I would apply my makeup at 7 o'clock in the morning and I find that my face gets very oily by 11am, I tried blotting my face with paper towels and part of my makeup came off. When I do touch-up during the day, my face feels heavy and it looks like I have a thick layer of makeup on.

MAC Snow Ball Holiday 2017 Collection ♡ First Impression + Swatches

MAC Snow Ball Holiday 2017 Collection

Merry Christmas Beauties

Today I am sharing with you products I have purchased from the MAC Snow Ball Holiday 2017 Collection. I actually bought these products in October / November, but I have been so busy lately that I only just got around to playing with these today.

I got most of the products that was on my wish list, but there were also some products like the extra dimension eyeshadows that I missed and totally regret. Anyway, let's not dwell on it and focus on the good stuff. The first thing I want to share with you is the Snow Ball Face Bag, it is my number one most wanted item.

MAC Snow Ball Holiday 2017 Collection - Snow Ball Face Bag
MAC Snow Ball Holiday 2017 Collection - Snow Ball Face Bag

MAC Snow Ball Face Bag contains a highlighter in Whisper of Gilt and a face brush, the set is limited edition, but the brush is available to purchase without the fancy packaging as it is part of the permanent range. I am obsessed with the packaging of the highlighter compact, it's rose gold, it's gorgeous and it's just hard to describe. I bought this set not only for its' packaging, I was actually dying to get my hands on Whisper of Gilt, it is described as a pale gold shimmer highlighter, it's not a new product, it has been in a few limited edition collections and when this highlighter is available, it's always sold in minutes. So you kind of get the idea of why I need this in my collection.

MAC Snow Ball Holiday 2017 Collection - Snow Ball Mini Nude Lip Gloss Kit

MAC Snow Ball Mini Nude Lip Gloss Kit includes one Vamplify Lipgloss in the shade Iced Over and two Cremesheen Glass in the shades Winter Warmer and Below Freezing. All three lip glosses are mini sized and they are exclusive to the set. The kit also comes with a slim makeup bag that reminds me of those Ted Baker pencil case.

MAC Snow Ball Holiday 2017 Collection - Snow Ball Brush Kit Mini

MAC Snow Ball Brush Kit Mini includes three mini makeup brushes in rose gold packaging. These are SO PRETTY in person and I am not sure why they are not coming out great in photos. The kit contains a Powder Brush, a Rounded Shadow Brush and a Angled Liner / Brow Brush. I am not familiar with MAC makeup brushes, but from the few that I own from previous limited edition collections, I love the quality!

MAC Snow Ball Holiday 2017 Collection - Happy God Dazzlingly Opalescent Face Powder

MAC Happy Go Dazzlingly Opalescent Face Powder is more like a highlighter than a face powder. It's a light gold shade that has a semi-opaque and buildable colour payoff. This is probably my least favourite of everything I bought from this collection, the product itself is not bad, I do like the packaging, but it just gave me that overall meh feel.

MAC Snow Ball Holiday 2017 Collection - MAC Holiday Crush

MAC Snow Ball Holiday Crush Lipstick is described as a metallic soft pink, all the swatches I have seen online looks nothing like when it's applied on my lips and I am a little bit disappointed. Online swatches shows a more darker rosy metallic shade, while it looks a lot lighter on my lips. Holiday Crush is a frost finish, it applies smoothly and evenly with a semi-opaque colour payoff that is buildable. The formula is comfortable during wear and it's not hydrating nor drying.

ColourPop x My Little Pony Collection ♡ First Impression + Swatches

ColourPop x My Little Pony Collection

ColourPop has recently launched a collection that is in collaboration with My Little Pony and it is soooo SO CUTE! Although I am a 90s baby, I did not grow up with My Little Pony, instead my childhood was filled with Chibi Maruko-Chan, Sailor Moon, Power Rangers, Doraemon etc...

I only started my My Little Pony obsession a few years ago and as you know, I love all things pink, girly and kawaii, when I saw this collection, I wanted everything!

This collection was launched in October and I know, I am reviewing these a month late, but not to worry because almost everything that I am sharing with you today is still available to purchase.

ColourPop x My Little Pony Eyeshadow Palette

MY LITTLE PONY PALETTE | USD $16

The first product that caught my attention when I saw the release of this collection is definitely the My Little Pony Palette, this is a pressed powder eyeshadow palette that includes a mixture of twelve metallic, satin and matte eyeshadows.

The packaging on this palette is so adorable, it has a rainbow design with seven holographic pony and lots of sparkles around. This palette is made out of cardboard, but it's very sturdy and it has a magnetic closure. The back of the palette has all the eyeshadow names and I love that this palette is very thin and lightweight and I also love that it doesn't come with a mirror.

Ever since I bought my first ColourPop Pressed Powder Shadow in "Come and Get It", I have been so obsessed with their pressed shadows, coming from someone who rarely wears eye makeup, this is big! I love the texture, the formula, the colour selections and best of all, ColourPop is so affordable!

ColourPop x My Little Pony Eyeshadow Palette
ColourPop x My Little Pony Eyeshadow Palette

As shown in my arm swatches above, the ColourPop My Little Pony Palette is very pigmented, the texture is smooth, soft and it is bendable on the eyes. The only problem I had with this palette is the colour selection, don't get me wrong, I love all the shades included in this palette, but I find it hard to create a look using just this palette.

ColourPop x My Little Pony Eyeshadow Palette
ColourPop x My Little Pony Pressed Powder Highlighter Trickles

TRICKLES PRESSED POWDER HIGHLIGHTER | USD $8

This is my first time trying the Pressed Powder Highlighter from ColourPop and I have to admit that I was skeptical about this product upon first application. It is very pigmented and the colour is very lavender-ish, I just couldn't picture myself wearing this to work as it would be too over the top.

Then I decided to give this a couple more try before I make my final decision and I just felt like, the more I use this highlighter, the more I fall in love with it and now I am pretty much obsessed.

There are two highlighter shades available from the My Little Pony collection and I have the one called "Trickles" and it is described as a lavender with pink opal duochrome flip.

Although the actual product has grown on me, I am still not feeling the packaging. I mean, the packaging has ponies and sparkles, it's cute, but non of these packagings are as cute as the designs on the cardboard boxes.

ColourPop x My Little Pony Ultra Gloss Lip

COLOURPOP X MY LITTLE PONY ULTRA GLOSSY LIP | USD $6 ea

There are six lip products included in the ColourPop x My Little Pony collection, three Ultra Matte Lips and three Ultra Glossy Lips. I only bought two Ultra Glossy Lips in the shades Dream Castle and Ponyland as I felt like the other lip products don't really match the themes with the colours and the formulas.

I know that a lot of people prefers lip glosses that has a thin and non sticky texture, but I am actually the other way around, although the Ultra Glossy Lip formula is lightweight and comfortable, I am more of a MAC Lipglass person.

ColourPop x My Little Pony Ultra Gloss Lip Dream Castle

Dream Castle is described as a metallic fuchsia with blue, violet and gold glitter on top, it is a very bright and pigmented colour and it is suitable to wear on its' own.

ColourPop x My Little Pony Ultra Gloss Lip Ponyland

Ponyland is described as lilac slightly sprinkled with pink and gold glitter, it's pretty much sheer lilac tinted gloss that is jam packed with glitters. I have been wearing Ponyland on its' own, but it is better worn as a lip topper as the colour kinda of shows up as a greyish lilac on its' own. As mentioned, the gloss is thin, lightweight, non-sticky and it feels comfortable on the lips, the longest I have worn Ponyland was up to six hours.

ColourPop x My Little Pony Super Shock Shadows

COLOURPOP x MY LITTLE PONY SUPER SHOCK SHADOWS | USD $5 ea

There are three Super Shock Shadows available from the ColourPop x My Little Pony collection, I have all three of them and they are in shades Posey (soft pinky beige with silver, gold and pink glitter), Sunbeam (pastel lavender drenched with violet, hot pink and ice blue glitter) and Cherries Jubilee (opalescent pink with hot pink glitter). All three shades are Ultra-Glitter formula, the texture feels soft and wet upon application, it has almost no pigmentation, just colour glitters and I find them all applied uneven.

I am a huge fan of ColourPop Super Shock Shadows and I especially love their Metallic formulas. If I have to be vey honest with you, I am actually quite disappointed in the three Ultra-Glitter ones from the My Little Pony collection, the colour selections doesn't scream PONY to me.

OVERALL THOUGHTS OF COLOURPOP X MY LITTLE PONY:

I love the packaging and the designs on the cardboard boxes more than the actual products.

The eyeshadows, super shock shadows and the lip products' colour selection is pretty, but the overall theme does not scream MY LITTLE PONY to me.

My favourite out of everything ordered is definitely the My Little Pony Palette, all the eyeshadows are very pigmented, the formula blends out beautifully, the texture is smooth and soft and the colours are gorgeous.

My least favourite is the Super Shock Shadows, they are packed with glitters which I love, but the colours barely shows up on skin and it doesn't blend evenly on the eyes.
