A month ago, everyone in the beauty world raves about the Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipsticks; and now, a month later, everyone is still talking about Too Faced Melted. So this product must be good right? Well... I have tried it, I love it and it's definitely good!
Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipsticks comes in six shades, ranging from nude to an intense violet. Too Faced claims these has the shine of a gloss, lasting power of a stain and pigment-packed color of a liquid lipstick.
Well, these claims sounds too good to be true?! Let's see if it really does what Too Faced claims.
Today I will be reviewing Too Faced Melted Peony, a dusty rose, light-medium pink. I bought mine from Beauty Bay for AUD $25.40.
Too Face Melted comes in a 12ml tube with a bronze shade twist off cap and a spongey tip applicator. The color of the tube matches the color of the product. Melted Peony is a dusty light-medium pink and the packaging of the tube is a pretty dusty rose color. I love the packaging, it's cute and simple, not too big to carry around nor to small that I will end up losing it in my handbag.
Too Faced Melted is very pigmented and I find that a little goes a long way, one little squeeze from the tube allows me to apply it on my lips evenly.
I thought I would never say this, but I actually really enjoy using this applicator, it's got one of those spongey angled tips which I have always thought of spongey applicators to be very gross, like there's a lot of germs. Surprisingly I am a fan of this. I love how it applies on my lips smoothly and applies on my lip liner evenly without getting messy. The consistency is not too thick nor to watery, it's creamy and smooth.
Although the consistency is creamy, it's not as moisturizing on me, but at the same time it doesn't feel dry. I have dry lips and if I don't exfoliate and apply a lip balm beforehand, I could feel it starts to crack my lips after three hours wear time.
Melted Peony lasted up to four hours for me when I have exfoliate and apply lip balms beforehand. I usually apply it at 8.00 am just before I leave for work and during the four hours I have had breakfast, drank water and ate a lot of junk food. Then just before lunch time it starts to dry and fade into stain, after I had lunch it fades into the lip lines and at around 2.00 pm, it's fully gone.
If I have not exfoliate and apply lip balms beforehand, it lasted me three hours then it starts to crack and feels very drying then it fades into the lip lines.
