MAC Proenza Schouler Lipstick
You guys know the struggle of finding the perfect red lipstick for you?!
While everyone is raving about MAC Ruby Woo, I think I have found my perfect red lipstick and that is MAC Mangrove from the MAC Proenza Schouler collection.
MAC Mangrove, a limited edition lipstick from the MAC Proenza Schouler collection which launched in April this year (2014) comes packaged in an ombre style square lipstick tube. At first I didn't like the packaging at all, I didn't like how it came packaged in a square tube instead of the basic round tube; but then... I slowly fell in love with the packagings.

MAC Mangrove is described as a bright orange-y red with a matte finish. Unlike MAC Ruby Woo, Mangrove allows me to apply smoothly without pulling and/or dragging my lips. I am actually quite surprised, cause most MAC matte finish lipsticks seems to be quite drying and hard to apply. While I really enjoy the smooth application and pigmentation it gives, I also love that it doesn't get messy during the application.
The pigmentation of Mangrove is crazy amazing ~ One swipe of the lipstick and BAM! You get that beautiful, rich, opaque coverage.
MAC Mangrove lasted well over five hours for me then it leaves a stain behind, during the wearing time I have had lunch and drank a lot of water. The longevity is pretty impressive, even thou I dislike stained lips, the stains Mangrove leaves behind is, well, I would say it's acceptable. After a few more hours, the stains starts to fade.

Ever since I had my braces taken off (I have had braces for six years), I have been smiling with my teeth showing; but while wearing red lipsticks, it kind of brings my confidence down. Just like any red lipsticks, MAC Mangrove is no difference. Mangrove made my teeth looks super yellow, so excuse the awkward smile in the below selfies ~ haha.
Overall I love MAC Mangrove ♥ and I think it's worth trying out (if you can get your hands on it). I am surprised it is still available to purchase on Nordstrom, but I think if you're interested, it's better to purchase it now than later, since this is a limited edition lipstick, it will eventually sold out.

So, have you tried MAC Mangrove? Did you purchase anything from the MAC Proenza Schouler collection?
P.S I have already reviewed MAC Woodrose lipstick, also from the MAC Proenza Schouler collection. I will review the other two MAC Primrose and MAC Pink Fringe when I get a chance to.
