Birchbox March ♡ First Impression + Swatches

Birchbox March 2016

Last month I reviewed my first Birchbox and I wasn't super impressed with the items I got, nor was I disappointed; I didn't want to cancel my subscription because some of the boxes that I have seen online are actually really amazing. I didn't want to give up just yet as I got this feeling that my next box would be amazing.

Finally, I received my March Birchbox; as soon as I opened my box I was super impressed. I love almost everything I received in the March box and there are one or two items in this box that has been on my wish list since forever.

Not only am I so impressed with my March Birchbox, I am also impressed with their customer service. Long story short, I went to review my items to get the Birchbox points only to find out that the things to be reviewed are completely different to what I actually received. I contacted Birchbox customer service and they corrected the items and sort out the matter within a few hours. That is the type of customer service that I love, thank you Birchbox.

Before I go on to reviewing my items, I just want to say that the March Birchbox box design is super cute! Comparing to the February box, this one comes packaged beautifully, wrapped in tiffany blue tissue papers and nothing was opened or used.

Birchbox March 2016

I received a total of five sample sized products in my March Birchbox, the product that gives me the most excitement is the Balm Stainiac, I have been wanting to try this lip tint foreverrrr, then there is the Dr. Lipp Miracle Balm and Cargo eyeshadow that I look forward to trying.

If you're wondering how I got Birchbox delivered to New Zealand, check out my February Birchbox post here, I have explained all the details in that post and I hope that it is helpful to you. ^-^

 Birchbox March 2016 - Number 4 Fluro5 Elixer Restore & Repair Oil

NUMBER 4 Fluoro5 Elixer Restore & Repair Oil | Full Size USD $26.00 is a lightweight hair repair treatment serum that illuminates hair with time defying shine. This product claims to repairs, conditions and restores shine and it is to prevent greasy hair that weighed down.

Birchbox March 2016 - Dr. Lipp Miracle Balm

Dr. Lipp Miracle Balm | Full Size USD $16.50 is a multi-purpose balm that claims to treat dry lips, thirsty skin anywhere on the body and sooth sunburn. This is exactly like Lucas' Papaw, except with a milky scent and a thicker texture.

Birchbox March 2016 - theBalm Stainiac "Beauty Queen"

theBalm Stainiac "Beauty Queen" | Full Size USD $17.00 is a two-in-one lip and cheek stain that gives a natural flush. It is a water-base, but it's not very watery and it gives you time to blend without setting too fast. The colour looks very dark in the tube, but once applied on skin it gives a sheer finish, it is also buildable to your desire shade. I absolutely love this and I am so glad to have received it in my March box. It is love at first swipe ~

Birchbox March 2016 - Wilma Schumann Hydrating Collagen Eye Pads

Wilma Schumann Hydrating Collagen Eye Pads | Full Size USD $18.00 is a gel pad with 100% pure collagen that hydrates and restore the youthful appearance around your eyes and enhance eye contour naturally without any scary needles. It claims to repair sensitive skin around your eyes after time in the sun and help brighten eyes.

The packaging of this wasn't very impressive, when I opened the pack the eye pads were "lost" and then when I finally found them in the packet, one of the eye pads was thicker than the other. The eye pad tingles my under eye area while using and it smells like lychee.

Birchbox March 2016 - Cargo Eye Shadow Duo "Sand & Ferry"

I am assuming that the Cargo Eye Shadow Duo that I have received is the sample size of the Cargo Land Down Under Eye Shadow Palette | Full Size USD $34.00.

Birchbox March 2016 - Cargo Eye Shadow Duo "Sand & Ferry"

Cargo Land Down Under Eye Shadow Palette | Full Size USD $34.00 is a palette full of smooth and highly pigmented shadows that blend easily to create a wide variety of looks.

I was really looking forward to trying Cargo eyeshadows and I have always wanted to buy one of its eyeshadow palettes. The eyeshadow duo that I have received is in shade Sand & Ferry, the gold colour is SO pigmented and SO smooth! The texture applies like a dream and blends so beautiful. The darker shade is a little bit chalky, but it is also very pigmented.
