Beauty Empties #11 ♡ ft. MAC Cosmetics, Guerlain, Urban Decay, The Body Shop + More!

Beauty Empties #11 ft. MAC, Guerlain, Urban Decay, The Body Shop and more

 BEAUTY EMPTIES #11
I am featuring a bunch of my favourites and most re-purchased makeup and skincare in my latest Beauty Empties post, including brands like Guerlain, Urban Decay, MAC and more!

Beauty Empties #11: Essential x Alice In Wonderland Shampoo & Condition Set

Let's start off with the ESSENTIAL X ALICE IN WONDERLAND SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER SET. Spotted at the Japan Mart, I originally wanted to get the pink set, because you know, I love pink and I want to have everything in pink; but I was told that the pink set is only suitable for those with damaged rough hair that needs extra moisture, so I picked up the green one which is more suitable for those with normal hair textures.

I have long and healthy hair that is in its' perfect condition right now and I wash my hair two to three times per week. I love that this shampoo and conditioner set smells so fresh and nice, and not a lot of product is needed per wash. I love that my hair looks silky smooth after each wash and the set last me a total of four months!

Will I re-purchase this item? Yes if it's still available, but I doubt it because Essential x Alice In Wonderland is a Limited Edition collection. At the moment I am using the Shiseido Ma Cherie Moisture shampoo & conditioner sets and I love this one too! I will definitely feature it in my next beauty empties post.

Beauty Empties #11: The Body Shop Strawberry Shower Gel

THE BODY SHOP STRAWBERRY SHOWER GEL is the second bottle of jumbo sized shower gel that I have emptied from The Body Shop and I absolutely love this stuff! I love the fresh strawberry smell and I like that it doesn't smell chemically at all. I especially love that it's a jumbo sized, it is 750ml and it last for months and months. Right now I am using the mango one and as you can see I have already re-purchased this shower gel many times!

Beauty Empties #11: The Body Shop Team Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash

*drum roll please* introducing my absolute favourite and most re-purchased facial wash of all times and it is THE BODY SHOP TEA TREE SKIN CLEARING FACIAL WASH! I am obsessed with The Body Shop Tea Tree range and I think it is the most perfect skincare range for combination to oily skin.

The one shown in the picture above is the old version, The Body Shop has repackaged their Tea Tree range a few months ago, still the same products and same qualities etc... but with different packaging.

I remember when I first bought this facial wash, I hated the tea tree smell and I tried to convince myself that I hate this product; but after using it for awhile and to see visible progress on my acne problems, I start to fall in love with this. I still get pimples here and there during that time of the month, but this facial wash does help reducing the pimples and keep my face clean and clear.

Beauty Empties #11: MAC Prep + Prime Skin Base Visage

MAC PREP + PRIME SKIN BASE VISAGE was featured in my 2015 beauty favourites and until now it is still my go-to primer. I admit that I haven't been using this product as much this year as I have found other products that works better, but I do still love this a lot and I especially like that this primer locks in my foundation and keeps my makeup in place all day.

I will definitely re-purchase this item, but at the moment I don't think it's necessary as you do get the mini sized sample every time you order from MAC.

Beauty Empties #11: Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

Here is a *round of applause* for my all-time favourite makeup setting spray! I have re-purchased the URBAN DECAY ALL NIGHTER MAKEUP SETTING SPRAY many many times and I cannot live without this product!

Also featured in my 2015 beauty favourites, this makeup setting spray literally keeps my makeup on all day and night and I always keep the smaller bottle in my handbag for emergency.

Beauty Empties #11: Guerlain Meteorites Perles Light-Diffusing Perfecting Primer
Beauty Empties #11: Guerlain Meteorites Perles Light-Diffusing Perfecting Primer

GUERLAIN METEORITES PERLES LIGHT-DIFFUSING PERFECTING PRIMER is one of those products I bought because it looks pretty, when I first tried it I didn't think it was that great, it has a lightweight texture, but it didn't seem to hold my makeup in place during the day, I was just not feeling it. Until one day when someone bet they could use up this primer along with another one from Guerlain within two months, that I thought I would try it too. I start to fall in love with this primer after using it for one month straight, I used it every single day even in the weekends when I wear zero makeup and I notice that this primer make my skin looks healthier, it's never dull when wearing this primer and my face looks brightened up.

This is a very expensive primer, but it does a great job at maintaining the healthy look, so I really like it and I would definitely re-purchase! At the moment I am using the Guerlain L'Or Pure Radiance Face Primer and I really enjoy using this one too, but I think the Meteorites Perles Light-Diffusing Primer is more suitable for younger skin.

Beauty Empties #11: Clinique Liquid Facial Soap for Combination Oily to Oily

I have featured the CLINIQUE LIQUID FACIAL SOAP in my last Beauty Empties post and since I have re-purchased this item as it is another great facial wash for oily skin. The one I have recently emptied is a travel sized one which I took it with me while travelling Europe and this has literally saved my life!

I have combination to oily skin with a very oily T-zone throughout the day and if I don't wash my face with a facial wash in certain times, my eyes would get extremely stingy and uncomfortable. At the time of my Europe trip, this was the only travel friendly facial wash that I own and ohmygawsh, when I travelled 24 hours from New Zealand to Amsterdam and finally found a toilet to wash my face with this, it was literally the best feeling in the world!

Beauty Empties #11: MAC Bulk Wipes 100 Sheets

I have used up many packets of the MAC BULK WIPES 100 SHEETS and it never come across my mind to feature them in my Beauty Empties posts because... It's just a makeup wipe. I decided to talk about this in my latest Empties post as I figure some people may wonder if it's that good?! I can't tell you if it's good or not because it's just a makeup wipe to me, but I like that it comes in a packet of 100 sheets and it's so great and convenient for wiping off arm swatches or lip swatches.

Beauty Empties #10 ♡ ft. MAC, Clinique, LUSH, Garnier Micellar Water etc...

Today I am sharing with you a bunch of makeup and skincare products I have emptied during the past three months. I have been encouraging myself to use up the already opened products before I buy more and this plan has been working very well. With the exception of Limited Edition items, I haven't been buying too much makeup and random stuff like I used to and it's very impressive.

MA CHERIE AIR FEEL SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER - you could have guessed that I bought the shampoo & conditioner duo because the packaging is really cute... It's true, these are a travel sized duo and they are so adorable! Also they smells like fresh floral and the 'Air Feel' type helps to volumized my hair. I love it, but will I buy again?! Probably not, unless if they go on sale, otherwise it's a very expensive brand for shampoo & conditioner.

DAVINES LOVE SMOOTHING SHAMPOO - A deluxe sample of this shampoo was included in my May's Birchbox and this shampoo is formulated to tame frizz-out and tangle-prone hair. The first time I used this shampoo, I woke up with my hair all tangled up the next morning and during a next few uses of this shampoo, I was convinced that this is the worst shampoo I have ever tried. THEN, after a few more uses I fell in love and I wish that it would never run out because it is literally the best shampoo I have ever used; ummm HELLO?! I can never make up my mind! Okay, so I complaint about the over-powering flora scent at first, but then I got used to it and I end up really liking it, it smelt like lollies grapes and I really like that it leaves my hair silky smooth after wash (not sure what I did the first time when I had my hair all tangled up?!).

DR. BRANDT POREDERMABRASION - This is an exfoliator that reduces the look of enlarged pores and helps to keep smooth ultra smooth. I love the sand-like texture and I like the feeling of when massaging on my face, but I don't see a big difference it made on my skin, probably because I have only used it for a few times. The sample tube I have received in my July's Birchbox only allows me to use about six to seven times.

W3LL PEOPLE BIO CORRECT MULTI ACTION CONCEALER - This concealer is SO amazing and I am already considering to buy a full sized one, because it's THAT GOOD! I have received a sample to try from my May's Birchbox and I love that it blends like a dream, it covers under eye circle and blemishes and it feels very lightweight.

MAC PRO EYE MAKEUP REMOVER & MAC CLEANSE OFF OIL - I have received both products as samples when I buy products from the MAC website, they are super tiny and each last approximately five uses. The makeup remover is described as a non-oily cleanser that needs no rinse and removes makeup without irritation. It does remove makeup easily, but it doesn't remove mascaras well. The cleanse off oil is described as an oil-based makeup remover that is gentle on the skin. I haven't used it on the skin yet, but I have used it on the wall when I accidentally splat cream bronzers on the wall... and I panic... and MAC Cleanse Off Oil came to the rescue! The cleanse off oil removed the stained wall in a few second, it was amazing!

CLINIQUE LIQUID FACIAL SOAP - This is a non-drying liquid soap that cleanse gently and thoroughly and it has become a stable skincare product in my bathroom! I use it day and night and I love that it made my skin feel very soft and clean after use. I have since purchased another one and I was surprised to find that they are actually very affordable in New Zealand!

GARNIER MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER - This is another one of those products that I was convinced it is the worst products I have ever used, and after a couple more try, I end up really liking the product and have been re-purchasing it. The first time I tried the Garnier Micellar Water, I have ended up using the bottle as a makeup sponge cleanser as I just could not stand the idea of wiping my makeup off without washing my face with face wash. I still can't get pass this idea, but I do wipe off my makeup first with the micellar water then wash my face again with face wash. I am actually quite surprised with the amount of makeup the cotton pads wipes off when using this.

LUSH SANTA'S LIP SCRUB - It took me almost two years to use up the Lush Santa's Lip Scrub and I am honestly SO THANKFUL to have FINALLY finish this lip scrub. I was literally getting sick of it as I bought it not knowing it smell so weird. I bought this lip scrub in 2014 because I get attracted to Limited Edition easily and the Lush Santa's Lip Scrub was only available during Christmas. The Santa's Lip Scrub was all gooey and watery towards the end and I just could not wait to get rid of it.

I finally used up the Santa's Lip Scrub and bought myself a new Mint Julips which I absolutely love!

ETUDE HOUSE DRAWING EYE BROW - This is one of my favourite brow pencil and I have re-purchased this a couple of times already. I love that it is so easy and quick to fill my brows with this and I like that it stays put all day without smudging or fading.

COLOURPOP BROW PENCIL - I have been using Bangin' Brunette and I like that the colour matches my black brown hair. The Colourpop brow pencil is pigmented and it has a smooth texture that glides on easily. A down side for me is that the tip is not slanted and it's harder for me to make the brows looks perfect.

DIAMOND LASH LADY GLAMOROUS SERIES - This is Glamorous Eyes from the Lady Glamorous Series and I didn't purposely left one false eyelashes for this beauty empties post hehe... These falsie are so dramatic and I love that they are comfortable to wear and looks so flattering on.

Beauty Empties #9 ♡ ft. Vera Wang Princess, 3CE, Soda & Co + More

I am so glad to have emptied another bottle of perfume as it shows I am ONE STEP CLOSER to getting my hands on the Chloé 'Roses de Chloé' Eau de Toilette spray.

These days I am trying to empty my makeup and skincare products first before I buy new ones and so far it's working well with my skincare range but my makeup obsession is not stopping anytime soon. Hehehe, can't help it ~ I am a sucker for cute packaging and Limited Edition products...

Today I want to go through a few awesome products that I have emptied during April and May, including some brands that I absolutely love and have already planned a re-purchase. I am mainly excited to share with you my newly favourite body scrub.

Vera Wang Princess Eau de Toilette Spray

♥ VERA WANG PRINCESS EAU DE TOILETTE SPRAY was purchased purely based on its heart-shaped diamond-ish packaging and its name also caught my attention. I end up really liking this perfume and surprised to have emptied this within a year time. (usually perfume takes me years to empty). Let's not talk packaging because you already know I go nuts for cute ones, but my favourite thing about this perfume is that the scent is subtle, innocent, breezy flora, not boring nor over-the-top; it's not too long-wearing, nor does it disappear quickly. The smell always lingers around, if you're the one wearing the perfume, it's hardly noticeable to you, but the people around you knows that you're wearing Vera Wang Princess, or if they didn't know what perfume it is, I've been told that it has a classic girly smell.

Soda & Co Mint Burst Sugar Scrub

♥ SODA & CO MINT BURST SUGAR SCRUB is my absolute favourite body scrub! It is described as a two-in-one exfoliating sugar scrub that is infused with spearmint and peppermint to vitalize and replenish skin and it claims to leave your skin feeling silky smooth and soft and bursting with freshness. I cannot agree more with its claims! I love that this body scrub leaves my skin extremely soft and smooth after use and every single time after shower on days that I have used this scrub, I feel like my whole body is so relaxed and refreshed. If you're a peppermint lover, you will adore this scrub, Soda & Co did an amazing job creating such refreshing and breezy body scrub.

TonyMoly Tomatox Magic White Massage Pack

♥ TONYMOLY TOMATOX MAGIC WHITE MASSAGE PACK is also another product that I have purchased based on its cute packaging, the product comes stored in a tomato-shaped container and it's absolutely adorable! Tomatox is described as a multi-functional massage pack that will deliver highly vitalizing, truly clarifying and magic brightening effect to your skin. I find that this massage pack doesn't do as much as its claims, it does a little brightening to the skin and the massage pack tingles and stints a bit when first applied on.

Shisedo Tsubaki Head Spa Shampoo & Conditioner

♥ SHISEDO TSUBAKI HEAD SPA SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER is an amazing set for squeaky clean, yet smooth and soft hair. Before using the Shisedo Tsubaki set I have always used Schwarzkopf shampoos & conditioners, although Schwarzkopf works amazingly, it doesn't make my hair feels as lightweight and bouncy as when I used Shisedo. I have normal hair, hardly gets greasy and not too many split ends these days, I could go three days without washing my hair and I love that a little squeeze of Shisedo Tsubaki shampoo & conditioner can wash my hair really well and my hair smells wonderful after each use.

3 Concept Eyes Full Coverage Concealer #002

♥ 3 CONCEPT EYES FULL COVER CONCEALER #002 is already a re-purchased item, I love this concealer as it covers under eye dark circle well without feeling too heavy or crease. 3 Concept Eyes Full Cover Concealer is described an excellent coverage concealer that covers skin imperfections, it claims to cover dark circles, blemishes, freckles and dark spots and it claims to brighten a dull-looking skin tone. I find that this concealer doesn't cover blemishes too well, but it works amazing to brighten and highlight the complexion.

Beauty Empties #8 ♡ ft. Dior, Bioderma, Clinique + More [2016]

Here are a few skincare products I have emptied during February and early March. I am excited to share with you the best perfume I have ever used, it is also the first bottle of perfume that I've emptied since I started using perfumes years ago.

Dior Addict Eau de Parfum

DIOR Addict Eau de Parfum is described as an Oriental Floral fragrance for women. I was given the 20ml as a gift a few years ago and I am unsure of which version this one is as there are quite a few versions of the Dior Addict Eau de Parfum. I love that it has a very strong vanilla-ish rich scent, it wears for a very long time and I get compliment all the time when I wear this perfume. I thought the lock design at the spray opening was very clever and it may seem like a mini bottle, but it lasted for years with almost everyday sprays.

The Body Shop Honeymania Shower Gel

The Body Shop Honeymania Shower Gel is a shower product claims to be made from the nectar of thousands of wildflowers. I bought the biggest bottle The Body Shop has ever made, 750ml and it's amazing! I love the smell of Honeymania, but because the bottle was too big and it took me nearly six months to finish a bottle, I was kind of sick of it at the end haha. Honeymania isn't ultra moisturizing and at the same time it doesn't dry out my skin.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Cleansing Facial Wash

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Cleansing Facial Wash is one of my most re-purchased skincare products! Looking back at my past beauty emptied posts, this is my third re-purchased and I absolutely love this product. At first I wasn't used to the clean tea tree scent, it smelled like freshly cut grass which I've always thought it's a really gross scent lol; but the more I use this facial wash, the more I got used to the smell. Now I just love everything about it. I love that it leaves my face feeling refreshed after each use and I love that I hardly get acne when using this product, except from that time of the month and this facial wash helps to reduce those pimples.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel (Combination Oily to Oily Skin)

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel (Combination Oily to Oily Skin) is another of my absolute favourite, most purchased (for family and friends) / re-purchased product. I am an oily skin type and this moisturizer absorbs quickly into my skin, it makes my skin dewy soft without feeling heavy or looking like a disco ball. I use this mostly at night before bed and I sometimes use it before makeup application and I find that it helps keep my facial oil in place and helps my makeup stays longer, it also feels moisturizing during wear.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Solution Micellaire

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Solution Micellaire is a no-rinse micella cleanser and makeup remover especially designed for sensitive, normal to dry skin types. I received a 100ml to try from my Beautylish Lucky Bag and although I have always try to avoid non-rinse cleansers, this was a highly recommended product from the people around me. After finishing the bottle, I thought that I actually really liked it, it changed my thoughts towards micellar cleansers a bit. I like that this cleanser removes heavy makeup easily, with only a few wipes of five to six cotton pads, it can remove waterproof mascara and eye products without burning my eyes and I like that it doesn't dry out my skin or produce more oil as I have only skin and this was meant for dry skin types.

Not Soap, Radio Liquid Feud Body Wash

Not Soap, Radio Liquid Feud Body Wash is one of the samples that came in from my recent Birchbox February Beauty Box, it is one of my absolute favourite products from the February box. I love the coconut scent and I love that this body wash leaves my skin super smooth after shower. I also thought that the little sample bottle is super cute, I have since reused it for something else, it's so handbag friendly!

Carmex Original Lip Balm

Carmex Original Lip Balm is the best lip balm I have ever tried, I have since re-purchased a few pots cause I can't live without it haha! I first tried this lip balm when it was included in one of the GoodieBox NZ subscription boxes, I remember it was one I received that I was so disappointed, I cancelled those beauty boxes. At first I thought that it was totally lame to include a lip balm because the beauty box was pretty expensive, now I take all back whatever lame things I've said hahah because this lip balm is truly amazing. I love the fresh minty scent and I love that it keeps my lips moisturized while I sleep (I usually applied before bed), it was also an amazing product for when I wear lip tint and any other drying lip products.

The Body Shop Shea Sugar Body Scrub

The Body Shop Shea Sugar Body Scrub claims to reveal softer, glowing skin with exfoliating salt grains and organic sugar in a moisturizing, oil-based scrub that has a fresh, classic scent. I don't like this body scrub and I feel like this is the worse scrub I have ever tried, every time I use this product I just couldn't wait till the day I've emptied it as I have thought of throwing away but I didn't want to waste money. Arghh the struggle! The Shea Sugar Body Scrub is so sticky, it feels sticky during and after use, the smell is alright, but not great and it didn't feel moisturizing or refreshing as other body scrubs I've used.
