I purchased the NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette from Mecca Cosmetica around this time last year; and sometimes when you own too much makeup, you tend you forget about the things you have purchased. I would occasionally take it out for photos purpose, then I would put it back into my draws and forgot all about it.

Only recently that I have realized this NARS cheek palette is still alive in my makeup collection, I have decided to finally dip into the palette.

NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette is a Limited Edition holiday cheek palette that launched in November 2014. The palette includes NARS' bestselling Laguna bronzer and Deep Throat blush, along with Miss Liberty highlighting powder and two other blushes.

Packaging of the NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette is bulky, but at the same time the design of the packaging is simple and beautiful with the white pattern overlay. The palette comes packaged in a hard plastic case with a big mirror; and while it is useful for touch-ups during the day, it's not ideal to carry it around as it is so heavy.

NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette includes the following shades:

❖ Miss Liberty - A highlighting blush that is described as a "soft shimmering peach", the shade is part of the permanent range.

❖ Deep Throat - A blush that is described as a "peach with shimmer", the shade is part of the permanent range.

❖ Sex Fantasy - A blush that is described as a "pale lavender pink", the shade is stated as a Limited Edition shade from the NARS website, but I have seen Sex Fantasy individual blush reviews on the internet; I am unsure of if it's a permanent shade or a Limited Edition.

❖ Final Cut - A blush that is described as a "peach coral" and it is a Limited Edition shade.

❖ Laguna - A NARS' bestselling bronzing powder that is described as a "diffused brown powder with golden shimmer" and the shade is part of the permanent range.

NARS Miss Liberty is described as a soft shimmering peach, while I love the shimmering champagne shades it shows up on my arm swatches, I was a little disappointed to see that it shows up nothing but sparkles on my face. The pigmentation is super sheer and it is build-able to your desire glow without looking OTT; the texture is soft and smooth and it is blend-able. Miss Liberty emphasise pores, therefore, I am not a big fan of these kinds of highlighters.

NARS Deep Throat Blush is described as a peach with shimmer, when swatched on hand the color shown up as a shimmering coral and when worn on myself, the shade comes up as a medium, coral pink with hardly visible shimmer. I have previously tried this blush and I love it. The texture is soft and easy to blend, the pigmentation shows differently with the tools you use, like when I did an arm swatch with my fingers, the pigmentation was at about 60% then when I use a blush brush, it was very VERY pigmented! Deep Throat worn well for six hours on me.

Imagine telling people that you're wearing Sex Fantasy on your cheek... Heheheh I love NARS and the unique names they have created for their products. NARS Sex Fantasy Blush is described as a pale lavender pink. The lilac shade is beautiful, but the texture is my least favourite; it is very powdery and not pigmented, barely shows up on my skin.

NARS Final Cut Blush is described as a peach coral and it is one of the best colour payoff blush from the Virtual Domination palette. Final Cut shows up as a brighten, orange-y pink on my face, the pigmentation is full-on and if not careful, I would sometimes applies too much.  I love that the texture of Final Cut is very very soft and it blends like a dream. The longevity is also amazing as it worn up to eight hours on me! Absolutely adore Final Cut, it is one of my favourite shades and formula from this palette.

I have tried NARS Laguna is the past and it used to be my absolute favourite as the bronzing shade doesn't show up orange on me, it is suitable all-year-round because the pigmentation is not too sheer, nor too strong and it gives a natural sun-kissed look. The colour is described as a diffused brown powder with golden shimmer. The formula is smooth and blend-able. I used to love Laguna so much, until I started using the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow; now that bronze & glow has become my everyday favourite, I hardly reach for NARS Laguna these days. Even so, I still enjoy Laguna, I think it is a nice bronzer to try.

OVERALL, the NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette is beautiful inside-out; I love the unique overlay packaging and the quality of these blushes and the bronzer. My favourite of all is Final Cut, then Deep Throat; and my least favourite is Sex Fantasy.

NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette is a Limited Edition product and sadly it is no longer available to purchase as a set, but some of its blushes from the permanent line is available to purchase individually and the price range is between USD $30 - 39.

While we are on the subject of NARS and its products availability, did you know, the NARS 2015 Holiday Collections are out and available to purchase from NARS, Sephora, etc... I came across the NARS Steven Klein One Shocking Moment Cheek Palette on Sephora's website today, and I am dying to have it! Almost all the blushes in that palette are new to me, except for Laguna. I want it and who knows, you may see NARS Steven Klein on my blog sometimes... soon.
