MAC Proenza Schouler Pinkfringe Lipstick ♡ Review + Swatches

What is everyone up to for this long waited long weekend?! Today I am reviewing the MAC Proenza Schouler lipstick in Pinkfringe, for those of you who aren't doing anything exciting for this Labour weekend, hope you enjoy my review ^^ ~

MAC Pinkfringe is described as a vivid flamingo pink with a Satin finish, I have always thought of it as a bright, very pigmented pink and I was afraid of wearing it to work as I thought it would be too bright for the office. Surprisingly this is a very soft color, it goes on sheer and you can build up the color to a more vibrant pink; I have been wearing it for sometimes now and I love how it goes well with my complexion and the formula is very moisturizing.

I may be crazy in love with MAC products, but I am still learning about their product finish etc... For those of you who are not sure what a Satin finish is, it is described as a color-rich, soft satin, semi-matte and it conditions while adding intense color.

I have previously reviewed three other lipsticks from the Proenza Schouler collection (Mangrove, Woodrose & Primrose) and each lipstick has given me a great impression; I went from not liking the packaging at all to being absolutely obsess with it. I was only able to get the four lipsticks from this collection, all other items were sold out too quick; overall I love this and it is one of the best collections MAC has released in 2014.

MAC Proenza Schouler Lipstick in Pinkfringe

Pinkfringe is such a cute name, don't you think? ^-^

Looking from the lipstick tube I thought this was going to be one of those bright, almost neon Candy Yum Yum like' pink, I was afraid of wear it out, especially to work, in an office environment; but I really wanted to see how this lipstick wears on me and plus, I haven't given it much love since I bought it home... So the first time I tried it, I applied the lipstick lightly and it appeared as a sheer pink ~ Pinkfringe is quite pigmented, the good thing is that you can apply it sheer or you can apply as normal for a more opaque coverage.

MAC Proenza Schouler lipstick come housed in a square tube with metallic look and ombre style designs. I was not feeling the packaging when MAC first released this collection, but the more I look at it, the more I fell in love! Especially when I finally own these lipsticks, they are so beautiful in person! The metallic look tends to leave lots of finger prints, but the whole lipstick tube is designed nicely, The cap opens easily and close tightly, so there is no worrying of the lipstick cap falling out and smear all over your handbag when you carry it around.

I have come to realized (after testing and writing so many lips products reviews) that I am not one of those lucky ones with an all-time moisturized lips girl. So before I test out / wear a lip product nowadays, I always made sure to exfoliate (I use LUSH lip scrub), apply lip balms and made sure my lips is silky smooth. Pinkfringe applies smoothly and evenly, it does shows the lines, but not very obviously.

Pinkfringe is long wearing, well, longer than I have expected; seeing as I could apply it sheer, when I first started wearing it, I thought it could only last me two hours max. Nope! Pinkfringe always pass the lunch break test ^-^ ~ I don't eat teeny tiny food for my lunch, I always have fried rice, pasta, wraps etc... So a lot of times the lipsticks I have on would always transfer to my food or my cup. Pinkfringe only transfer to food a little, but it always stays put and last through my lunch break. Overall Pinkfringe wore well for six hours for me.
