I absolutely LOVE the packaging of MAC Cosmetics x Chris Chang collection! The overall theme reminds me of the teochew opera, which my grandma loves and it is also what I have watched growing up.

MAC Cosmetics collaborated with Shanghai-based designer Chris Chang and together they have created a Limited Edition makeup collection that features five lipsticks, four eye shadows, one gel liner, three cream color base and one transparent finishing powder.

The MAC x Chris Chang collection has such an unique packaging, it has a tradition, yet stylish Chinese theme and the overall collection is very colorful.

Since I was only buying this collection for the packaging, I didn't bothered buying too many items from this collection. Out of all fourteen pieces of makeup products, I have purchased the transparent powder and a lipstick.

Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Pressed Powder 

MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Pressed Powder is described as a silky, colorless finishing powder that reduces shine. The actual product is plain white and nothing special, but the packaging is crazy beautiful!

The cardboard box and the actual product packaging both features a lot of traditional Chinese designs including Chinese antiques and Chinese clothing from the old days. I am a huge fan of Chinese historic drama and I love the clothing featured in every single ancient Chinese TV series. This is my first time trying out a MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Pressed Powder and I am so far loving how it performs on me.  I have oily skin and the facial oil tends to stints my eyes by the end of the day if not used the right setting powder. I have been using it to set my under eye concealer and I love that it helps to reduces shine throughout the day.

 MAC X CHRIS CHANG "PLUM PRINCESS" LIPSTICK

There are five lipsticks available from the MAC x Chris Chang collection and I have only purchased one of the lipsticks in the shade Plum Princess, which is described as pastel plummy lavender with a matte finish. The color reminds me of Lime Crime Chinchilla which I absolutely love and it is one of the main reasons that I bought this lipstick.

MAC Plum Princess Lipstick is a gray-ish lavender shade and the texture is smooth and easy to apply with an opaque color payoff. The actual lipstick packaging is also an unique one, it is colorful, but it's not as special looking as the pressed powder packaging.
